When starting digikam from the console I get literally thousands of error messages during the rebuild of the databse, like: re-emerged digikam, gphoto2, ufraw, kioslaves etc., no success kde4/share/config/digicamrc, re-run init of digikam, rebuilding databse. deleted digikam4.db and thumb*.db, deleted. checked b.g.o., nothing relevant (I think) The ~/Pictures directory contains several subdirectories with thousands of pictures in jpg and Canon raw format (.CR2). Some emerge -avut world and revdep-rebuild later, today I want to use digikam, but no pictures are shown, zero, none. I used to use digikam under kde 3.5 without trouble.
